Cable hauling

Cable hauling is the process of using a winch to pull cable through a trench, pit, wall, or duct. It is particularly useful for installing long lengths of cabling, and for implementing cables in difficult-to-access areas. This practice can also be useful for replacing existing cabling in buildings or structures, which is often useful in telecom upgrades. We are qualified to install subduct pipe as well as carry out rodding and roping services. Furthermore, our team have significant experience installing Optus, TPG, and Telstra pipe networks. At Imax Communications QLD, cable hauling is one of areas of expertise, so you can be guaranteed excellent results if you hire us for your next project.

Fibre blowing

Fibre blowing is a cost effective and efficient method of cable installation. Blown fibre is installed by blowing a coated optical fibre cable through a micro duct with compressed air. This is done to minimise friction, maximise efficiency, and access hard-to-reach areas. Fibre optic cabling installation provides an alternative to copper cable in that it involves less planning, is faster to install, costs less, and is more environmentally friendly.

Asbestos removal

We are fully licensed to provide class A and B asbestos removal services for our clients. Class A asbestos removal refers to the removal of friable asbestos. Friable asbestos is material that contains asbestos and is in a powder form, of that that can be crumbled, pulverised or reduced to a powder by hand pressure when dry. Class B asbestos removal refers to the safe removal of non-friable (bonded) asbestos. Non-friable asbestos is most commonly found in fibro sheeting, which was often used in construction in Queensland prior to 1990. This sheeting was often used in cladding, fences, and roofs. Our team can also carry out demolition services where necessary in the process of carrying out asbestos removal. We take asbestos removal very seriously, and strictly follow all governmental rules and regulations to ensure the health and safety of all present parties.

Vac truck

Imax Communications QLD can provide a well-maintained vac truck to help facilitate our other services. We use our vac truck services to complete non-destructive digging and cable location services, which then simplifies the process of cable installation and pit and pip installation.

Pit and pipe

Pit and pipe installation is a form of cable installation which involves digging a series of trenches through which to lay cabling and conduits beneath ground level. Pit and pipe installation is mostly used for telecom projects across Australia. At Imax Communications QLD, we can install pit and pipe quickly, and with a condensed planning period.
